Introduction to Footsteps of a Prodigal

Today I am introducing a special blog that God has placed on my heart.

I have witnessed, children prodigals, sister prodigals, parent prodigals, and there was a time that I was also a prodigal.

Some of the topics we will be looking at are:

Who Are The Prodigals?
The Making Of a Prodigal
Before They Are Prodigals
Prayer Strategies
Encouragement For Those Who Wait
Prodigal Parents
Praying Home the Prodigals

True stories will be given for encouragement.

Please send me testimonies so we can record them here.

I will be posting (hopefully) twice a week.

We hope you will send us the name of your prodigal,
intercessors will be praying for your prodigal daily.
We would like to hear your story of tears and triumphal praise

This blog is about engaging God through prayer to help us deal with the brokenness
in our family and calling on Him to restore our prodigal to a right relationship with
God and with us.
Maybe you are a parent wanting to prevent your son/daughter from becoming prodigal or you see signs that he/she could be headed in that direction. This blog is for you too! Now is the time to to be on yours knees daily, calling God to send armies of angels to protect and save he/she from any misstep. In hindsight, many of us parents of prodigals wish we had started praying much earlier.

In the prayer below I am going to use the word daughter you can replace with the
name of your prodigal,

_________________________________________________________________

Is there anyplace my daughter can go to avoid Your Spirit?
To be out of Your sight?
If she climbs to the sky, You're there!
If she goes underground, You're there!
If she flew on morning's wings
to the far western horizon,
You'd find her in a minute--
You're already there waiting!
Then I said to myself,"Oh, He even sees her in the dark"!
At night she's immersed in the light!
It's a fact: darkness isn't dark to you;
night and day, darkness and light, they're all the same to You.

Oh yes, You shaped my daughter first inside, then out;
You formed her in her mother's womb.
I thank You, High God -- You're breathtaking!
Body and soul, she is marvelously made!
I worship in adoration -- what a creation!
You know her inside and out,
You know every bone in her body;
You know exactly how she was made, bit by bit,
how she was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, You watched her grow from conception, to birth;
all the stages of her life were spread out before You,
The days of her life all prepared
before she'd even lived one day.

Your thoughts -- how rare, how beautiful!
God, I'll never comprehend them!
I couldn't even begin to count them ---
any more than I could count the sand of the sea.
Oh, let me rise in the morning, and live always with You!
And please, God, do away with wickedness for good!
Personalization of Psalm 139:19 MSG
